Soul Salvage Project’s brand of music is a deep slice of Delta Blues slathered with timeless yet pungent messages taken straight from the streets. Their music has a divine ability to meet people right where they are no matter their taste in music.
Angela Wolf's gutsy vocals and SSP's unforgettable sound cuts through the wasteland of stereotypical Christian music blazing a new trail. With her deep soulful voice, Angela weaves stories that are saturated with emotion. She is an outstanding songwriter, performer, and speaker who knows how to tackle difficult subjects as only one with first-hand experience can effectively do.
SSP’s Sound is forged with the rustic sounds of old Delta Blues and Americana. This emerging Deep South powerhouse of a band is held together by the percussive acoustics of Russ McDaniel. His melodic yet driving arrangements always have distinctive musical hooks that leave listeners wanting more. His heavy base-line strum patterns and fluid walking between chords set him apart as one of the areas most talented and beloved guitarists. Like icing on a King Cake, the band is topped off by the magical grooves and wails of Ben McMorris on Blues harp. Playing since he was a child, Ben is not a Five and Dime harmonica player. He has mastered his art and tears effortlessly through diatonic and chromatic scales with ease. His trademark leads are always a crowd favorite. Ben is a standout; worthy of being compared to the likes of Darrel Mansfield and the late great, Terry Lee McMillan. The most remarkable quality of Soul Salvage Project is their relentless representation of the world we live in. The portraits that they paint are "spot on" with the heartbreak, suffering, and redemption that we all seek. Their music is pure, bold, and direct from the Swampland Party Capital of the World, New Orleans. Audiences from street corners to churches are touched and transformed by the uplifting message straight from the heart of God. Soul Salvage Project's Founder, songwriter, and lead vocalist, Angela Wolf, came from a background of 1980's Rock and Heavy Metal. Originally from South-side Virginia, she has lived and performed in Greensboro, N.C., Atlanta, G.A., Dallas, TX, and Cape Coral, FL.
Currently, she resides in Hammond, L.A. where she is an avid biker [Christian Motorcyclist's Association (C.M.A.)] as well as an active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church's Music Ministry. In 2008, Angela and her family moved to Southern Louisiana from Southwest Florida. God impressed upon her a calling to reach back to a genre of music from her past, utilizing this genre to reach the broken and outcast for Christ. Because of her first-hand experience with drugs, alcohol, and abusive relationships, she began a quest to gather other musicians who came from similar backgrounds, possessed dramatic testimonies, and shared a common vision for ministry. She soon found such a ministry partner in Russ McDaniel. Angela has worked in Celebrate Recovery, a Homeless Shelter, and currently leads a Youth Detention Center Ministry in addition to leading Soul Salvage Project. She is also a Platform Guest for Bill Glass Champions for Life Prison Ministries based in Dallas, TX and for Fly Right Ministries based in Alabama. She is married to a corporate pilot and is the mother and homeschooler of their two talented boys, ages twelve and sixteen all of whom share her heart for outreach and service. ![]() |
